Trying to outguess InAccuweather is fun.
Forecast of 18 last night. Awoke to 11. Still 68 in the living room and kitchen, so not bad.
Good thing I loaded the 30 with some large splits of Oak and Maple last night. We also got a wee bit more snow (maybe another .5-.75") overnight.
Aaaand, the county plow just went by. So nice of them to waste tax dollars plowing that massive snowfall.:headbang:

Was 20 out this am at 5 when I got up for work and 72 in with 36%. The dogs are lethal with their noses I've got a little tool for the bypass on the Lopi that I pick up and touch the stove with to discharge the static through the tool :D especially before I touch the stove for a reload too

Didn't get much colder overnight, we're looking at -28 C this morning (-18 F), or -36 C (-32 F) with wind chill factor. The oil furnace and the wood stove are both chugging away.

22 when I got up this morning. 8-10" of white chit.
Mishmosh of what have you in the stove.
A few more days of burning in the shoulder stove and I'm putting it to bed for the winter. Then the Woodchuck will get fired till April and NO MORE CARRYING WOOD into the house !!!:thumbs:

We were a bit warmer then yesterday at -25c this morning. Its -23c now. Im thinking of heading out in the bush for a walk with the dog to check out some standing dead trees. The snow might be a bit to deep for me to take the truck in but Ill see.

I'm thinking I should be doing the same in a few low areas.

We were in the low 20's (never checked) but the pellet stove had the sleeper 72 this morning.

We switched back to a fire in the liberty with some cherry.

I'm not sure if you have posted it somewhere, but what brand name is your stove, and how many btu's is it rated at?

Currently 15.8°F headed down to around 7°F. Stuffed the oakleaf with ash and hard maple. Inside temp close to 70°F, stove doing well, house holding the heat. Winds asst a good clip at times, and like Canadian border VT, continuous snow squalls giving us an inch here, an inch there. :fire:
