Yup, that's the same crap we have had here must be headed your way. The snow is starting tonight and supposed to continue through Sunday. Doesn't look like the snow on Sunday is going to amount to much. Make sure you stay warm this weekend is you are going to be out in this crap.
St. Lawrence River Valley right on Canadian border. It is generally about the coldest place in New York State and probably most of the states in the North East. I like it here.
Another load of Beech and Sugar Maple going with the pellet stove getting the day off. This wood was planned for February, still burns good in January. 10 degrees at the moment.
I hear you Cert. not picking on anyone I just had to chuckle a bit because I remember so many comments last year about wanting a winter. This is a brutal one.
It sure felt good to get in by the stove today. I spent way too much time outside today. I usually have a few vehicles to look at inside but not today.
I'm hittin the wood pile hard now, Into my 3rd cord… if this cold keeps up I'll be into 4 by end of Feb easy. If I burn 5 this year, it'll be a new record high for me… Maybe I gotta call al gore and ask him what happened?
Same here, but if we get those winds it can wait. You could hear the trees making a cracking sound today when the wind picked up. When was the last time you've been back in the woods?
I really really want to get out tomorrow and cut some beech I spotted but we'll have to wait and see. It depends on the snow totals and how much wind.

about 2" on the ground but the wind has some spots bare after today. Any where from 1 to 5 or 6 for tomorrow depends on what forcast I look at.
