It's 24 tonight so the liberty has a another load of cherry going. It doesn't seem real bad out but we lost cable for about 15 minutes tonight.
27 and boy is it windy. Just did the nite reload and swear I heard a split get sucked up the chimney ! Looked like mostly beech.
-8 C (15? F) and burning a few pieces of premium stuff. Just kidding, I found a few sticks of willow in the bottom of the box to go with the poplar. It burns alright.
28 and light snow through the night off & on. I will be sparking up the stove very shortly and warm the place up toasty.
Same here Well that was 5 pm yesterday it's 6 am today I'm still at work 25 out feels like 11, 67 in the truck for a quick warm up
31°f and waiting for the wind to crank up. Just loaded up the stove after an overnight load that kept the house to 70°.
The house is warming up nicely, but the temp has dropped to 26. Burning small 2" Oak rounds and small splits.
Good morning -Currently 24°F..... fresh 4"of white stuff with another 4"- 7"expected, but I doubt we'll see anything over 4"...... loading the oakleaf with a mix of hard maple, birch, and pine.
Well, it is 12° out this am up at the cabin. I'm glad I got that doe yesterday. It would be very cold in the tree stand this am. The lake is starting to ice over. Paper birch in the wood boiler. No real snow here, the most was a light coating that I showed in the pic of my deer I got. But it's been flurrying a lot of the day. Wednesday back home could be a little sketchy as we are set to get some snow or mix. I'm glad I'm off all week.
I gotta like it. Just think next year you'll be ahead, it's tough moving a long way and having to burn this late in the season. But you did it. Kudos!!!!!!!!!
Just added more fuel to the fire. It's cold, it's raw and I just feel like burning. It's like the birds knowing when to migrate. The snow on the ground, a dusting, is getting my blood going.
Pretty brisk here. Holding at 28°F with gusts only around 11mph. Real feel 22°F Stove loaded, nice to come into a warm home after splitting.
