Glad to see I am not the only hoarder burning a fire in June....cleaned up several old uglies and odd balls from last years pile Saturday morning....
Went for a ride on the motorcycle yesterday 52°f and rain......It's 8:00 AM and 48°f it might hit 70°f today.... last week it was in the high 90's.
I think we ended up with just under a face cord of wood left that we had planned on burning, we have two rounds of ironwood left inside for the next cold stretch.
I gave my snow bird neighbors at the lake some nice 4 year dried hardwood (ash, maple, oak) for their wood stove fires. Man, were they happy! They were running low.
Its 40f outside and raining with fresh snow across the tops of the mountains. Yup I lit a fire! Sitting in front of it now waiting for a reload.
Nice and balmy here with a heat advisory 96°, feels like 104°, humidity around 50% Is it too early to be wanting fall?
The pollen has all come off the Pines here. You should be done soon with that. Maybe we had more wind? Or it was a little earlier here. Wife took the pressure washer to the porch. Much better!
We get some neat cold spells in the mountains here especially in spring and fall and the last couple of days have been like that. I got home from work tonight and hung in the yard with the dog. It was windy and cold but the sun was out. I put a jacket on so I wouldnt get a chill. Nature had built in AC! It felt like fall but without the colours. Burning a bit of lodgepole and birch tonight before bed. Looking forward to getting out in the bush to drop some trees in the next couple of days depending on work.
73°f today 44°f for the low tonight. Damm 25 to 30 mph wind for the last 4 days I'm sick of it. Should calm down tomorrow and warm up too.
They say we'll hit 90 today, it's 78 already this morning. Gasifier , I did see that AccuWeather said we might get damaging winds tomorrow night.
