Temperatures are approaching 10 degrees Centigrade. Haven't used the stove in a week. Made for a good and proper clean though.

60 today but down to 30 tonight and been real windy. Said scree it and lit a fire last night as the house was 63. Another tonight and I'm burning what I got dry so some ash but mostly locust. [IMG] about our 5th fire since we moved in two weeks back. Big house an stove is in the basement so the house doesn't overheat too much.
    Lovin it

Another 7" is on the way. Basement is at 61 so it must be time for a fire in the el dorado, no?

Yep pretty much the same here. I live about 25 miles west of the Nebraska border. I have been burning up the uglies again. Short hot fires. Tomorrow is going to be really nice no wind.

The advisory we are under has been updated to 11" starting now till Fri afternoon/evening. Temps will drop to single digits and the wind will pick up. Then a little booster on Sat just because.
By next late week, we should be having 50 for highs!

30 out and 73 in, here in NE Buckeye. 1 inch of new snow on the ground, 42 for a high then low 20's overnight and that is expected to be the high for Sat. before dropping into the teens. BURN ON......still have at least a New York face cord on the patio......still enjoying a nice fire in the box, plenty of good wood, God is good.

We do live in "the belt" ,,, but come onnnn !!! It was in the 60s and 70s the first week of March !!!!!!!
Me gotz a feeling we in fur a long cold spring .
A few years I've seen all the farms get oats in the ground in March during a good long warm spell and then we get a cold wet drawn out spring.
Furnace is eating a mish mosh of bottom dweller miscahlaneyous junk wood from the bottom of the wood room and some coal. Refill on order by Sunday .

It was 32 this morning, just another load of Cherry in the Liberty.

We might get 1-3 inches of the white stuff today but spring finally rolls in for us on Monday, we've turned the corner.

Dipped back into the 20s last night. Though on fire on at bed time and when I woke up. Ash/elm as I'm out of shoulder wood.

I think this is my 6th "last fire" :)
