50s here, and still burning (mostly Doug Fir). Fire in the AM in the big stove and one in the PM in the small stove. Hard to break the habit, and it just don't feel right without them. Need that fix. We'll be doing this more or less through April.

I said the same thing to the wife this morning! Man it's cold in here, and it was 64 so the wood stove was back in action! 5 hours later we had the living room window open, glad to be back to normal in here! :D

Low 20's this a.m. 4 splits of red oak chased the chill away. It snailed for awhile last night. (Snow & hail) and the winds picked up. Cool here until Wednesdays warm-up.

Maple & Hickory uglies after work to warm things up. Temps tried to hit the 40's and with the heavy wind, never did. Getting down to the last 2 pucks of super cedars, hoping to stretch em out until next season.

The forecast here for the last 5 days has been overcast and rain. Its been sunny blue skies every day. Yesterday afternoon it spit a few flakes ,,,, without a cloud in the sky. With N and E winds we get beautiful weather. From the W and S overcast and moisture off the lake. Ill take weather like weve had the last 5 days every day .
    Oak beech and coal.
Furnace back puffed a little this morning. About time for another cleaning.

10 degrees yesterday AM, a nice welcome to Spring.

Winter weather advisory for Wednesday-Thursday. Looks like we are right in the center of the storm, where the forecast is for up to 20 cm of heavy snow Wednesday, followed by 3/4 of an inch of ice pellets and freezing rain on Thursday.

Of course, the instrument panel on my vehicle picked last week to die, so the car is in for service 40 miles away, and I am supposed to pick it up Wednesday or Thursday. If we get the weather we have forecast, and IF they are open Good Friday, and IF we don't lose power again, I guess I'll be able to get the car Friday.

No vehicle will force me to get some work done here, but will certainly impact my Easter.

It got down to 20 last night and the sun is brightly shining at the moment. May get 2" today as we are on the far north remote edge of a storm that will hit the green bay area with 8-14". Bad thing for them is that they pull the plows and wait for the storm to pass adding to only complicate the whole process.

Right where I want to be.
Winter storm watch turned into a warning, and the forecast snow amounts have fluctuated quite a bit.
They're now saying anywhere from 1-2' from this afternoon through tomorrow.......until it changes.

Anyway, about 30 this am, so I put 4 medium/small splits of Maple in the 30, and we're back to about 72 in here.
Should be warming starting Fri., so the snow shouldn't hang around too long.
