It was 43 this morning with lots of fog, I cleaned the Liberty out and then I started a nice Cherry fire. The humidity level in the basement went from 30 to 40 overnight, that's without running the humidifier so this fire should drop it to 30 again.
Had a small late evening fire last night, and the IAT was 75 just before bed with a bunch of coals in the stove. I left it, but forgot it was going down to mid-30s. 7am, and the IAT was 64. We still haven't hit 40 yet. I put 4 Maples in the stove to warm things back up. With all this rain and snow melt, the humidity has gone up about 10-12 points in the house. Feeling a bit cool, even though it's 70 in here, so I might install some more Maple.
We also had fog last night early. Don't know how long it stayed around. Mid thirties now with a light drizzle. Overcast, obviously.
71 yesterday , left windows open to late, so, had a late night fire with some chunks , no fire today , 70 inside , 49 out, will have fire tonight Low 32
Last fire of the year tonight. Best days for a wood burner are the first one and the last one of the season.
Almost 27 now. Lit off the stove in the basement a little earlier and it's now warmed up to 64. Outside is a nice clear night.
Firing up some ash in the Lopi, for over night low 32. Temperatures around here looking pretty good though
22 overnight and looks like the warm up has started already. Sunny day today and tomorrow. Upper 50's and 60's. Makes me feel like I'm back in the land of the living! The snow in the yard will take a beating. About next mid-week, the highs will be only in the 30's for awhile, again. And snow, also!
Stove was off for 67 day and yesterday's 55 with windows open.... Then it rained and rained some more... it got damp so put a small load of pine in to take chill off last nite. 5 this morning house still 72 and OAT 27. flurries loaded pine and Ash. real quick..
Broke the daytime record today around here, +8 C, that's like 46 American. There's wind, but it was pretty nice for chimney cleaning weather.
25 deg. this AM, house temp. 49 deg. I lit the Resolute with 2" & 3" maple rounds. We had the doors and windows open till the evening last night. My first fire in six days. We were enjoying the record warmth.
A very warm overnight indeed! Did not leave the 40's last night. Another day of strong sunshine and looks like low 60's for a high. Next week we'll be back in the 30's for highs.
