Our forecast went from 58 to 61 this morning, and I think that's where we are right now.
The small Oak fire this am got the chill out. Mission accomplished.

44 this morning! Suppose to be a decent amount of rain for this week. A little Ash and Pine in boiler to keep things warm and hot showers.

We were scheduled for rain also but didn't receive any. Just warmer temps and sunshine yesterday.
39 this morning and that should about do it for the high today-unless that changes.

Don't be surprised if the rain doesn't come.
And don't be surprised if you get the rain that we were supposed to get in addition to your rain!

We 54 this morning when we had coffee, the temp is 53 at the moment.

I did make a small Cherry fire because it's so damp out.

Gasifier , I lost the first ten pounds, going after the next ten starting today.

I'd like to hear how you did that.

Had a small Maple fire about 8:30 last night and just let it go out.....still had some coals this morning. Put in 4 smallish Maple, and we're back up to 72.

Just changed what I eat. I eat more salads and for a meal I'll have beans or any veggie in a red sauce, I'm staying away from bread most of the week and only have some ice cream on Sunday night.

By the end of March I should've knocked off 18-20 pounds, I started at 232.5 so I'm thinking 208 will be my target.

    Thanks zap.
I'm just a bit heavier at 237 right now, and that's basically what I did last year for a couple months. Dropped down to about 215 for a minute.
We've been buying and eating (of course) some Weight Watchers "ice cream" bars for a while. I recently took a look at the label and there's a lot of sugar in the darn things.
I quit eating 'em every night.:headbang:
Guess it's back to the grind......thankfully, I love salad.

I think last winter I got up to 225, it took me longer last year to lose about 17 pounds than it did to lose 10 this year...........I kept cheating on the ice cream last year.

Todays temps are just slowly dropping. Almost 32 now, overcast with a little drizzle a couple hours back.

20 overnight--just may stay up late and build a fire in the basement!!

Morning kindling fire, and a restart in the evening is how it's looking. No way to creep the fire along.....just above freezing here.

No fire tonight which will give me time to clean the ashes out tomorrow morning, I think we're heading to 45 or so tonight.

    56 already this morning.
Furnace has been cold for 24 hours.
Will prolly run pane for the next week with an occasional warm up with coal. A lot of people talking about spring plantings already. I'll pass , this is just a head fake. We have 10 weeks left before we are frost free.
I do think I'll plant some spinach and romaine in one of my hot beds though.
