24 now. Burned off 2 1/2 loads of bottom dweller chitwood . Its gotta be 80+ in here!:dennis:
1 more load and shovel out about 2 buckets of sawdust/bark off the floor and might refill the woodroom later.Theres still a facecord+ stacked against the back wall.

Mid 30s. Burning anthracite. Love the steady heat and the fact that I only have to tend it every 8-10 hours.

It's 5 degrees with the temp trending down, the bottom row of wood in the Liberty is a mixture of Sugar Maple and Beech but the top row is all Ironwood.

I did put a bag of pellets in the Pellet Stove so that is set on 76.

Only supposed to go down to mid 20s tonight, so I'll do a mixed load of Oak and Maple.
    Mid 40s tomorrow.......that'll be interesting.

    9 now
    Crispy cold out.
Got the woodroom cleared of all chitwood. 2 -5 gallon buckets of sawdust and bark got swallowed by the old mans OWB. Refilled with artisanal oak, hickory and maple. 1 more refill like that should get me into shutdown.

Rain started about 5:30 here. Not so good but only a light rain. Still windy and right now it's 33.

Super warm weather for these parts in Feb., -2 C (28 F?) and loving it. Draft is sluggish due to short stack and warm temps. But hey, I don't need to be a genius, I just have to be smarter than that black box I throw wood into.

Burning off some small sticks of white poplar, and chunks of uglies. There is no end...

I actually burn all that in moderate amounts in the stove, more so in the week before cleaning. Less to cart off in spring.

We had -2 this morning, the pellet stove is off and the liberty is full of sugar maple.

We'll put in some wood today, it looks like we might have some rain coming in.

I'm hoping the last of this better wood will take us through the end of February and then it's back to burning Cherry.

I thought for sure you two would have above zero temps by the end of this week! What the heck is the hold up with you two???

Dare I say that it is 35 here now? Supposed to be sunny, but it hasn't showed it's face yet.
