Calling for 9 tonight, so we're loaded with all Oak.
17 right now, at 11:45, with a little snow.

29º here this morning with a fresh coating of snow (only about 1")....burning down a big coal bed then I'll load up with a mix of whatever is close to the stove. Probably ash and sugar maple.

It dropped quite a bit more than they expected. Called for a low of 2 but it is currently -7.
The snow stopped overnight, just a little clean up this morning as I had kept after it pretty good yesterday-4 times! Ended up with over a foot. Again, 1-3 was predicted.

9 this morning and 66 in the living room.
Coals forward, and 6 Oak splits in.
Now at 72, but the kitchen is still a little cooler.
OAT is still at 10, so this could take a couple minutes.

Hovering around 23 all morning. About 3" of fresh white overnite. Lake effect squalls forecast till this afternoon. The western half of the lake is froze over according to NOAA so that might limit our lake effect exposure . Big meltdown coming Sun-Wed. That might put the kuybosh on the ice cover.
I fired up the wood eating monster on Jan 3 and surprisingLEE have only used about 2/3 of a cord in 26 days along with approx. 500lbs of coal.:thumbs: Liking this winter.
I don't know if a really good draft established itself in the middle of the nite but all settings on the beast were normal. Woke up to 88 drenched in sweat at 1am this morning. Slept with a window 3/4 open the rest of the nite.
Coak a Coala simmering in the beast now.

27ish now. Threw a split of locust and a couple of sticks of honeysuckle to warm things up this morning. Maybe more snow and cold next week.

22 oak coal . Brisk NE wind, sunny blue skies.
Ended up with about 8" of snow yesterday. Been getting a small blast seems like once a week. It settles by the next storm. Kinda nice not having to deal with large amounts.
Even though its been an easy winter here ,,,,,,,, I'm getting cabin fever,,,,,,, bad.

It's 39 tonight with the temp trending up, I'm not sure what's in the Liberty but it's burning.

We might be getting some damaging winds on Wednesday, we'll see what the forecast will be the next couple of days.

Gasifier , HDRock , this is from NOAA but south of us, I expect it to come north.
STRONG TO DAMAGING WINDS ARE POSSIBLE WEDNESDAY AS A POTENT
LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM MOVES THROUGH THE GREAT LAKES. FREEZING RAIN
IS POSSIBLE EARLY WEDNESDAY BEFORE PRECIPITATION CHANGES OVER TO
    ALL RAIN.
