Sounds a little cool for you two fellers this morning. Was that expected?

i sound like a broken record (remember vinyl anyone?) when i say it is in the 20's, goin' to the 30's and i am warm because of some maple splits! also had some maple syrup on my eggo's for breakfast from Coombs Family Farms in Vermont. if anyone knows these folks, give them a well done from me please. I'm feeling pretty good about maple trees right now. Headed to the shop......

That's real close to what I saw last night on AccuWeather, I think tonight they're calling for a low of 0.

Right where I want to be.
Only went down to 20 last night. House was 72 this morning.....that's more like it, and I didn't even turn on the DVH.
Opened the air on the stove, and I guess I'll go pull the coals up......might even put a couple splits in the stove.

Went down to 9° at 9:30 last night when I loaded the stove for the overnight burn. Raised back up to 17° this morning at 6:00 when I climbed out of bed. Still 71° in the house, smaller load of oak to not cook us out. Got the stove running with a loght flicker of flame on the ends of the splits with nice slowly rolling secondaries up top. Headed to 24° today with cloudy skies. Headed to the garage after breakfast to get the ice fishing gear ready to take the kids out this afternoon, FINALLY!!

It's -4 here and I am currently using Ash and large Pine splits to keep the boiler rocking and rolling.
