I like that Picture. Yes I-25 was pretty clear going down to Wellington. I take that cut off there to get to the northern part of Fort Collins because there is a tractor sales there and a Jax that sells a lot of tractor parts. I got my chains by the way. Too bad though it still looks like I-80 is still shut down going to Laramie.
30 or so degrees, gusting winds making it difficult to keep the stove at a constant temp, even with a flue collar damper.... Pecan and BL mixed with red gum and small split WO... We gotta get a different stove!
21 6" of snow overnight . Full load of maple. The TR 18 is working its rear off to keep up. Pane may have to kick in a few times today
Isn't that how it works? The last new snowmobile I bought was a year that ended up being a shortened and warmer, with less snow year. So, while I didn't buy a new sled this year, I'm glad I didn't because I saw reports saying this would be an el nino year. Anyways, it's 15° f outside, shagbark hickory in the quad. I'm hoping the furnace won't turn on again like it did when I got up this am to reload.
We had a dusting on my way into work yesterday. Again on the way home it was flurrying, and then again late last night at home it was flurrying. Nothing really stuck though. Looks like it's going to be a brown Christmas here.
Looking a little more like winter now, 32 degrees and gusting wind. Stove burning a little Red Oak is keeping things inside at 72 degrees
The wife is already talking about having a bigger stove here. The good news is that she definitely sees the good points of a stove vs an open FP. I can deal with that. Now, if you want a lopi endeavor stove, I know my parents want to go to a gas stove next year. They ditched plans to go pellet stove, and said they'd rather just use LP and have the stove look, with ease of LP. Don't worry, the wood boiler is still in the basement, so they'll be burning wood still.
