The weather is supposed to crap out this weekend starting on Friday. Highs will be in the mid 30's for another week with rain in the forecast. Oh, wait. This is December in the U.P. Man, that's great weather! Above zero, no shoveling, what the heck am I thinking?

39 here, burning some black cherry, pallet scraps and gren bricks. Back to evening fires for the next 4-5 days as lows will be well above freezing. Come on old man winter, give us some love soon!

46 here even at this hour. No need for heat in a well insulated house.

Back to once a day fires...Lit one lastnight. Still warm in house this morning. Sitting at 57 this morning. The bad thing is I haven't had time to take advantage of this nice weather...

Me too. This warm weather is a bit of a bummer for learning my new stove, I think I'm going to go out and cut tomorrow; still have 1/2 cord of space in the pallets. Perhaps no fire the next 4 days.

The temp is at 49 today back in the Pines.

On my ride down through one of our Ravines, I noticed what I think is a downed Sugar Maple up the side of the hill, if the weather stays good, it's coming out before any snow gets here.
