    Loaded the stove about 8pm last night with just a few splits of maple. Fell asleep....dead to the world. Woke up at 4am to the furnace turning on.....not on my watch! So I threw on a few splits of silver maple.

    Temps will be dropping most of the day. High 20s now and snow coming mid morning.

    Have a happy Thanksgiving everyone! Gobble gobble!

    34 here burning some ash and maple, started a fire at 6 last night, woke up to some nice hot embers and this what it looks like now

    Never got any of the snow that was predicted overnight. We'll see what the day brings. Temps (35 now) supposed to drop and then snow also.

    Well, I knew I should have only put a split or two in the stove last night.
    46 out @ about 7:45 am, and the house was @ 75....in the kitchen. It's warm in here.
    No fire for a while.

    Well, no.
    That's what I SHOULD have done. I put in 6-7.:headbang:
    Lucky to have r-11 in most of the ceiling, and yep, only about 1200 sq. ft.

    Didn't look when I got up but its in the low 50"s now.
    Fire was out when I got up . Prpopain was running. Started up with a couple odd shaped pieces and its still cooking. Prolly wont load till later tonite. IT"S TURKEY TIME!

    It's still 50 here and the house is 72 from all the cooking so we'll wait to see if we'll have a fire.
