    40 this morning.

Another wet day prevents any idea of outside work. Gonna have to check on the rain gauge.

Yeah, the LP furnace has been called into duty with daytime temps only in 40's-50's for a few days now.

Still have windows open here. Got down to 48ºF overnite two nights ago, but only down to 68ºF inside. Still not cold enough to close windows.
The mass of the house survives a bit of cold before it doesn't. A couple cloudy cool days will do it.

No windows open here! I do not like the house temp to be in the 60's. This year is different as our stove is getting refurbished. Hope to have it back this week.

Well I did it. 44 outside heading to a high of 60. 62 inside. I lit a small fire to take off the chill. Some very dry silver maple and boxelder. IMG_4613.jpeg

Yes, it is time to have a fire in the stove.

72* yesterday and 73* today. Big change from 85*+ weather. Got the freshly stacked outside woodpile covered yesterday and just in time! 50* last night and had a big lightning and thunder show in the evening then a crashing downpour for about 45 minutes that backed off to a heavy rain for a couple hours then showers through the night. Much appreciated the rain after all the heat and dryness for so long. Have to clean the gutters though, as all the Fir needles washed off the roof at once and piled up at the downspouts. Win some places and lose in others!

40 right now but will probably drop more before sun rise. And now we are looking at a coming heat wave. 80 for Friday and Saturday.

Never dropped into the 30's as "they" had predicted.

60's and 70's for highs the next 10 days.

When do you get your stove back?

    What was wrong with it?

Get it back probably this week or early next week, depending on the trucks. Stove needed a little TLC.

    67ºF today
    in the fifties at night.
So far, just have to close the windows and it stays 70-something inside.
That won't last too much longer, especially with lots of cloudy cool weather.
