    Was supposed to rain all day but it didn't start to sprinkle but an hour ago. Although, the wind did kick up a bit. I think we made it to 50 also. The cool down will be here on wed.

    62ยบ here today, haven't put anything in the stove since Sat. night and likely will not until maybe Friday if the weather man is right. I let the gas boiler come one a couple times in the mornings but if I had a fire we would need the windows open in no time.

    45 here, small fire last night of cherry, silver maple just to keep it warm over night. Likely won't light another until Thursday. Looking up for the weekend!

    No stove moving! Two years in a row, third year without a new stove. A new record!

    Finishing up my attempt to close out a lot of draft from underneath this place and attempting to convince the wife to move. You can only run three stoves for so long before you need to tap out. I need a few things to keep my sanity: Smaller mortgage, centralized fireplace and/or a modern home with good insulation. I am more than willing to do an old home again IF the price is right. Meaning we find a fixer-up at a price that allows us to have it renovated to our needs.

    We need a lot more storage area, a garage, and a better layout.

    Also, attempting to convince the wife to move to, or get a second home, in Arizona. I miss good roads and the mountains.

    It was 22 this morning, another day of burning Pine.

    The next wood we push in will be a combo of Hemlock,Cherry and some wood I think was dead standing when I c/s/s it.

    After that we'll start on burning all Cherry until it gets cold out.
