We hit 76 yesterday! One of those perfect days. Warm. very little breeze, low humidity and low dew point. On top of that, a clear blue sky all day.
Ive been away on a 10 day adventure amd got home on wed. Friday was rainy and cool. Had a fire when I got home from work. First fire in 2 weeks or so.
About 60 yesterday. The lake breeze kept us a bit chillier than inland. I burned nothing yesterday. Tonight we will have an outside fire. I was all set for an outdoor fire last night, but it was a bit chilly at like mid 40's with that breeze. So the boss said to have the fire tonight when it's going to be less breezy.
Way too hot for this yooper (and his dogs) yesterday. It gets worse for me every year. Car thermometer showed 91 at one point. 63 now. Heading for upper 80's.
It is amazing you keep getting higher temps than we do. We did hit 82 yesterday and with very low humidity and very low dewpoint, it was fantastic.
I believe I'm working on a little more than a month now with no fire, no heater and no air conditioning. Hoping to stay that way until at least June 1st. I do keep the windows mostly closed when it's a little warmer outside mainly to keep the pollen out, which is really heavy right now. But it seems to hold enough cool air from the nights inside that is really comfortable. If it does get warm in here during the day I'll open the windows in the evening and close them come morning. No complaints from the Misses so far. I wish the rest of the year was like this. It's the earliest I can remember ending burning season.
50+ MPH winds yesterday and Mom lost part of her crabapple tree that Lefty and I cabled up a few years ago for my Dad. I will be heading up this morning with my brother to take care of it and maybe score some apple. Only picture she texted me. Sorry for not being around as much lately.
45/63 going for a high of 51 today. furnace is turned off so I light a fire. some shorts and uglies with a scrap 2x4, just getting started.
