Load of red oak this morning did good while i was at work all day. 70.1 inside still and 12.9 out. It's been pretty breezy all day. Loaded er up with a mix of white ash, cherry, oak, maybe a chunk of walnut. All on the smaller side to warm the stove up quick. It's currently 600° and climbing.

The wind sure is crisp. Supposed to reach down into the negative numbers by day break. Feeding the firebox a steady diet of honey locust chunks.
    71 inside.

    -5/70 Real feel -25.

Just got off one of my lean-too rooves. All done shoveling 4+ feet of wind driven snow. Hopefully, that'll be the only time this year.

Interesting stove-do you have to insert the handle every time to open the door?

    Dog looks very comfortable.

Yeah it’s a Morso 3450. I take the handle out because it gets very hot. That’s the pups favorite spot for sure

Boiler doing well keeping . Another single digit night. I have my cart on standby loaded with soft wood for my refill around 22 hours.
The wind was calm today, so even with it below twenty, it wasnt bad to be outside. Get to Saturday and we are back in warm temps again

I would do the same thing but only use a snow scoop filled with the next OWB load. And then I would cover it to keep it from getting snowed on.

6/-8wc/73 inside white oak doing the heavy lifting. Just got done cooking up a feast and was sweating so I went outside shirtless with flipflops on for a few minutes. Looking at the weather report the end or burning season might be near. About to smash some jalapeño poppers followed by blackened walleye, coho, and king salmon with a lemon cream sauce over some potatoes.

A bit chilly here plus another 5" white stuff this morning. Got the driveways taken care of after work and looks like we got another dusting. Hopefully we are down with the snow for the week. Hackberry and locust in the stove. Screenshot_20250217_210006_WeatherBug.jpg Screenshot_20250217_210022_WeatherBug.jpg
