-11° this am when I rechooched. More ash, red oak, and Honey locust in the stove. 68° in the house. The furnace has run twice that I've heard. That's it , not bad.

Yes. Looking forward to the warmer weather! It’s still a day away, but it’s coming! We only see cold like this every few years, so I guess that’s the good part

 

Still had a good bed of coals in the stove today, but the house was down to 50°! This cold can kick rocks.

 

24* last night. I know it is nothing like some are reporting but very cold for Western Washington. I brought all the Brass Monkeys in last night cause they are not used to that kind of cold around here. Doug Fir keeping the house warm!

 

16/64. Burned down the coals all day. Got to get the house warmed back up with some ash black birch and red oak.

Rearranged the thermal mass setup and also have gotten the secondary system back to 100% airflow
62 inside right now but I've been home feeding it all day. We started today at 41f in the stove room

 

9/76 Shagbark and Hard Maple with some Oak 5/4 cutoffs filling gaps. -3 forecast for tonight.

 

3/72 maple and ash cruising along. Prediction says -13 and wc to -24 overnight, white oak and hickory lined up

Still cold. -4°. Wind chill is still stupid. I had to put she has in my truck and the station was in the middle of an open field with no trees to break the wind. It got to zero degrees for a high today.

I scooped a half a bucket of ashes out of the stove after work. Then rechooched with ash ( wait what?) Norway maple and a piece of honey locust.

68° in and rising inside.

 

It's 1 at 7;30 PM they say low tonight of -4 I think it might get colder than that 74 inside
