Speaking of wind. I walked the property several times after the last wind. Three new blow downs across the trail. Two Pine and an Elm.
Temperatures dropping around here, they had a couple of tornados north of here damage but no one hurt
2 or 4 beers , large Anti pasta, extra large meat lovers pizza. This is your fault, again, thewoodlands!
18 degrees here at the moment with more Box Elder burning in the stove, along with a chunk of barkless mystery wood. 77 degrees inside and I'm wearing shorts.
No fire. We went out for dinner tonight (wearing shorts) and had outdoor patio dining. Unheard of for on November 6.
7800' in the Wasatch Mtns. ! Brings back memmories, not sure if we were that high, but spent some time with some folks in Heber. We snowmobiled in the mountains. Beautiful area!
Heber is at about 6000-6200 feet. From there you could have gone snowmobiling in the Uinta Mountains off to our northeast, or on the eastern slope of the Wasatch Range. I live on the western side of the range a bit closer to Salt Lake City, but it sure does get snowy up here. We average between 350 and 400 inches a year at my elevation. There's a pretty dramatic difference in snowfall at the middle elevations between the eastern and western slope of the range. At my same elevation less than 10 miles to the east the snowfall is about half of what it is where I live. Those differences become a lot smaller above 9000 feet.
its been in the 60s and 70s for days ,i want a fire ,i need to start burning to make room to stack the fresh stuff
