I had a buddy with a plasma cutter do me some artwork on an old hand saw that was just laying around. Painted it in the basement last night and it’s still tacky.
I should have done this last night instead of just now,,,,

Ohio I have been in your shoes with having to burn shorter wood after getting a new stove. Back in 2018 I got a new Lopi that would take 16 inch pieces. My old stove took 12 inch pieces. It took a number of years to work thru the shorter wood but it still kept the house warm. At least your wood that you are now cutting to 16 inch will have time to fully dry before you have to start burning it.

For sure I stayed warm, even slept in the recliner in front of the pellet stove! All I know is winter is officially here, several months late which I dig :)

I sure hope it will have enough time to dry out. I may be cutting it close, I’m only 10 years ahead. Splits went from 15.75” to 18. I might have another year and it’ll be much better.
