Its 65 this mourn and I loaded stove last night and its almost too hot last night. Had to open the usual closed off rooms to let the cold air in and delute the heat out
Wow. 45 here this morning. Ash and Pine heating the boiler so we have our hot showers. Maybe they are right and El NiƱo is going to make it a mild winter.
Forecast for 42 last night. I got up at 6:45 and it was 36. This makes for an interesting guessing game whether to have fire or not at night before I go to bed.
34 and windy with a nasty snow/rain mix falling here. Fired up a load of Box Elder that was split and stacked in May/June 2014 a little while ago. 64 degrees inside and warming up quickly. Looks like I'll be burning 24/7 for at least the next week, and possibly the duration at this point.
Had a rogue gust of wind reverse my draft and snuff out my fire while I was partway through my morning workout. Got things back on track with only the scent of woodsmoke in the house and no visible haze. I wish my chimney was about 4 feet taller and topped with a Vacu-Stack. Need to save my pennies.
39 outside temp. Might be the high tonight. Inside cozy 76 in the main room, 69 rest of house. Burning shorties and cookies of lodge pole pine..
I turned the boiler off this morning here. I still do not need to turn it back on tonight. I will fire it up early in the morning. 76 in the living room.
43 and dropping right now, suppose to get down to 36 according to accuweather and weather underground burning some Doug Fir
Today and tomorrow supposed to be in the mid/upper 60s and sunny. By Friday night, if the forecast doesn't vary by more than a couple deg., we'll be having evening/overnight fires starting Friday. It's been fairly sporadic so far. Game on. Maybe I can finally get through that Pine in the front of the shed.
