Colder here. What's your temp? What ya burnin?

Kids soccer game was earlier -5:30-6:30. Wind was downright cold. It is currently 39 here. Ash is bringing the basement up to a toasty 80! I have the thermostat cranked down there. Just before bed I will turn it back down to 60 and turn the boiler right off when the boiler and big tank are at 190. Coasting.

 

It was a nice dry day here. Temp even made it to 60!

 

53 right now feels about 85 just got done helping the neighbor get their full gravity wagon unburied out of the laneway doesn't look like any burning tonight

 

low was 35 at 2 a.m., started warming up after that Wind shifted to a South wind, low tonight only 53

 

34F tonight something will be in stove

 

The next ten days will have overnights in the low 30's and just a couple nights right around 40.

 

37 here in gburg p.a still no fire going yet just two electric heaters going onto woods to salvage some wood up

 

Forgot to add tommorow going into woods lol not tonight

 

I got some head lamps and a lantern what are we waiting for

I'm an idiot!!!! I assumed my stove wasnt burning cause I put too big of wood in , had a clogged chimney , or I shut it down to early. Shows how bad my memory is!!! I forgot how to run my own stove. We have too long of summers here! It has a primary air and under fire air to start the stove. I had the craft controls mixed up .!!!! No wonder dry wood on the coals would smother out when I closed the door with the primary closed and the secondary starting air thing open. !!! Only way I got the cats to stay active last night was the starting air to be 100% open and the primary to be 20-25% open!!!

Reloaded 3 pine splits and an oak round. I have to almost close it off to kill the flame to engage the cat!

Bad thing is I'm only 33 I'm gonna have tobha e one of those label maker things and write everything down in 30 years!

 

I almost need to put hardware cloth in the top of my stove box....my draft is so good now I am worried a split might get sucked up my Chimney!!!
