Whoa, super windy this early morning after midnight, I ended up on the recliner it was so loud, sounded like the house was going to take flight like Wizard of Oz a couple times. No microbursts thankfully but yikes the strong wind from that direction sucked all the heat out of here, woke up with 50's inside. 4 more weeks and hopefully better overnight lows. Anyone know why wind sounds like a freight train? Previous home I thought it was from being in lots of pine trees. None here and it sounds the same.
55 going to 28. Just started a fire with some cherry. Strong winds with the cold front. We lost power once. Just heard a tree snap up in the woods. Fingers crossed the house and out buildings go unscathed and we don't lose too many more trees.
After a few days of summer weather, it will be under thirty tonight. Maple and hickory mix. Missed the first 15 points of the Iowa women , while loading the wood. Hope they go all the way, but also want them to beaten by Indiana one more time.
9f this morning but made it all the way to 34f for the high and windy. Talking 50's again starting tomorrow so I'll take.
38/72. Winds are pretty bad right now. Fingers crossed. The chill temp is expected to dip to almost 10 by 6a. Picked out short splits and loaded E/W and packed it to the gills. All RO.
21 and going down fast with lots of wind. Then Spring temps starting tomorrow. Only had a small fire last evening so the furnace was running when I got up. Elm and Black Locust.
It was 50+, winds 50+ gusting, and raining like crazy when I tucked in at 10. I loaded the stove good. Now at 4 its 27 and windy. Woke with doggo giving me licks and the room was cold..... I tossed wood on coals and joined life on the board for a minute. Stay warm, watch for ice this morning if you are getting this warm front/cold front transition...
13. That’s a change from 63 about 15 hours ago. Hard Maple splits and small Elm Rounds in the Wood Gun.
Warm yesterday 20 and snowing today probably about 5” and then 40 something tomorrow Talk about wacky weather
Morning folks, we are at 15* here, I have to leave for a doctor appointment so the pellet stove has the duty this morning.
-10/64 Lit the NC-30 in the basement yesterday and warmed it up real nice. Let the wind blow and the snow fall!
The Wood Wolverine Maybe you're not aware of it but it sure looks like there is a pronounced sag in the baffle plate of your stove.....??
