    I decided to let the fire go out this afternoon. Feels weird not having a fire but the furnace can stretch its legs a bit. We are having a mini warm spell. I think I saw 5c/41f today! It was very drippy in the yard today. Im looking forward to getting out and doing some cutting soon. I had some major surgery in early July from an illness that almost put me in the ground so I havent fired up the chainsaw since June. Im much better now and looking forward to doing all the things I missed out on last year. Ill have to wait until more snow melts before that is possible though. I might be able to drive an hour and find some roads that aren't to snowy but last time I checked a week ago it was to deep still.

    50 and rain with a 10 day forecast full of rain
    Still have a fire in the basement stove. Operation empty the racks has begun. Maybe a wheel barrow full outside the front door and 1/4 cord in the basement.
