awoke to 48F it's still warming up everyday into the 70's/low 80's
house is staying in the mid 60's, which feels nice with the low humidity, open windows in the afternoon, close around sunset. If it were raining the stove would be heating.
This weekend heading into the 30's - summer is over:headbang:

34 ish here this morning. Fired up the wood stove to warm up tiny little toes. It will be at least another week before I'm done upgrading the monitor system for the wood boiler.

Supposed to hit sub freezing temps the next 3 nights so I'll probably do a couple evening fires to get the dust burnt off and still keep a window or 2 cracked to let the smell out.

Even with 84 high today I just got a small cedar & pine fire going, house is 66 but supposed to drop into the upper 30's tonight.
I was filling the woodbag in my shorts and t-shirt and the chill is in the air when the sun started down behind the tree tops

Temps in the 30's this morning so I finally broke down and got a little fire going. Burned for about 2 hours then let it die. Warmed the house up nicely. May have to do the same thing the next few mornings. Forecast is for a hard freeze Saturday morning.
I think I should get the rest of the apples picked tomorrow.

It's 41.4 on the Radio Shack Special this morning and the inside temp upstairs is 70.

I just started another Pine fire before we start putting up some shelves.
