Currently -21 C with a -33 C windchill. Tomorrow the HIGH is -26 C with a -36 Winchill. That -15 F, feels like -33 F for you yanks. Stove has been running mostly maple with lodgepole to get it up to heat if I let it burn too low.

Pretty nice right now at 14 degrees, suppose to get to -50 Saturday morning. The cold is only sticking around for 5 days or so.

Mid thirties. Still need to focus burning down the coal bed in the boiler. Just stirred it up. If I have the normal waking up for no reason, I will venture out to stirring it more. Have more oak waiting when ready.

precipitation Friday, but the temps will be in the forties. Looks like we may have another winter with very little snowfall

Yep. Crazy isn't it. We have a 150 degree temperature swing from winter to summer here. In August I want it cooler, but never do I say I want it 140 degrees cooler.

-25c overnight tonight. I am no longer burning SS crapwood. She’s primo Doug fir now. Sposed to be around 30 overnight for the next several days. 4 months of shoulder season sure turns a fella into a soft rooster.

33 outside. No fire last night so the house got down to 63. I bumped the thermostat up so the furnace would run for the first time since its annual test in Nov. Currently 73 with hard maple and black locust doing it.
