Got the chimney cleaned yesterday. About six cups of creosote out of a 25' chimney. Not to bad for one year of burning. First fire of the season... All oak, stuff that was left in the house over the summer from last season's, last burn. Man, there is nothing like wood heat. The dog was upstairs on the couch. He heard me get the stove going, came downstairs and promptly passed out in front of it. Ah, a Lab's life.

36 burning pine and white oak. I’ll be moving the last of the punky white oak into the basement today. Almost a face cord of loblolly left to burn.

Finally broke into the 30s here for the first time since the late season mid-May frost. House is 60 at the moment. :shiver: Ash and cherry in the stove.

The Fireview has become the plant stand for all the flowers the wife rescued from the outside landscape and the porch. I can barely see the stove for all the plants and Halloween decorations. I might get the AS downstairs going downstairs, just for fun.

Got quite a bit colder than it's been here on the central Massachusetts/New Hampshire border.

At 9:30 am it's 38 outside so I broke down and lit the Pellet stove.
