It's a 2022 vogelzang 3200p. Cheap Chinese stove, horribly designed to meet emissions. In factory form even with 3 chimney dampers it would run so hot that stt would get over 1000f. Over the course of last year I found 8 different unregulated air ports that fed the secondary tubes. I have it modified now as kinda a modern smoke dragon. All secondary air is blocked off. But it still has front air wash and a rear (boost air). So far in shoulder season it's run perfect with damper closed and both air controls full open
43/67. Oil didn't run all night to my knowledge. Headed to 70 today and 71 tomorrow. Messaged boss asking if I could work from home today.
10c or 50f and rain here today, no fire today yet, had it on yesterday afternoon and evening, got the house over 80f
Fire has begun. Just burning chunks (various species) at about 1/3 box capacity for the stove. Just enough to take the chill off. Overnights have been generally low 40s F. I think I saw 39F this morning.
It was in the 30's this AM and supposed to be in the 80's tomorrow afternoon. Still batch burning silver maple one fire a day in the boiler for hot water. No need for heat yet.
72ºF this aft. about 6 0r 7 higher than forecast. Beautiful sunny day. Bean soup for lunch. Probably should not have gone back for more. Stomach has been singing the song of my people rather vociferously. Might have to be careful lighting matches in a while.
This morning, No rain! 35f burr, forecast is clear and cool for the next 5/6 days, hopefully get the last 27 customers final grass cuts and a good start on yard (leaves) cleaned up and a bunch of work around home cleaned up before it snows.
All that wood piled to the sky and you’re still holding out! What are you waiting for, a bomb cyclone?!
Waiting on cold temps during the day. We're slated for anther 70 degree high today. Not complaining one bit either, I love this weather.
I hear ya. The temperatures here are similar, but I don’t have an oil tank right now so I’ve been burning in the mornings to take the chill off. Usually days like this I have the thermostat at 68 and let the furnace run a little bit.
Downstairs has been about 63-65 the last few days when I got home from work. So I've been having SS fires. Just enough to warm it up to about 70 or so. Poplar, TOH and some mystree wood This time of year our solar gain really begins to lessen. Plus the house is shaded for most of the day.
It was 28 when I hit the road this morning. Lots of rooves had frost on them as well as lawns. No snow' that's a good thing!
