Currently 40 f degrees here. Unseasonably warm for this time of year. Burning odds and ends in the Jotul. Mostly bark and splitter scraps.

Took a break from my new deck build to grill some cheeseburgers for my boys tonight.

Supposed to get some snow on Thursday.

Good morning everyone. Here in South Muskoka, Ontario it's raining and 5'c about 40'f this morning. We were out yesterday afternoon at our sons for Thanksgiving dinner in the rain of course, got home and the house was cool, before I got stuff out of the van and the dog out and walked around the yard for a minute I could smell smoke, my wonderful wife got the fire going, an hour later the house was toasty and warm. Love our woodheat!

Feels great outside. 44 and sunny. First night into the 30's tonight.

Boiler is cleaned and ready for another year of work.

Burning some 3 month seasoned silver maple from a storm cleanup this summer just to see if I can. Boiler doesn't hate it...no smoke at all.

52 outside heading for 36 overnight. Running the NG boiler a bit as I always do early on just to make sure it is working well. Still want to replace the cat in the stove before burning. I bought one several months ago.

Supposed to get 1st frost tonight. Low of 33. Decent sized load of silver maple, pine, and possibly some hickory? And ash. So far really enjoying how this stove runs after deleting the epa stuff

51/66. Couple hours ago I fired up the oil burner. Came home to a chilly 62. Probably cut it back to 64 for the night. Still holding out on wood fire. Predicting 70 later this week.

It’s 50deg and I still loaded the stove this morning. I want to get rid of the punky white oak and pine that is taking up valuable rack space. Chewy on the outside crunchy in the middle :salute: Have a good day!

My shoulder wood seems to be getting better and better each year… Soon I might go full wood snob and turn my nose up at anything less than sugar maple

2 things, no one home during the days and it's supposed to warm up to 70 by Thursday. I'm preserving my precious stash. :loco: :picard: Really wish I had some shoulder wood.

Tis the season, man I love this weather! Cool crisp nights, cooler breezy days it just screams firewood season, burning it, stacking it, cutting it, etc.....

Moved a face cord + around front to the porch. Have another face cord to move as well. Wood shed is loaded and full!

Went to go clean out the liner yesterday but she was really clean and everything looked good. So I am skipping it this year.

Need to check/change batteries in smoke alarms and have a quick family safety meeting and we are ready for burning season.
