30 degrees F at the casa this morning when I got up. Burning some big slabs of Douglas Fir bark. 72 degrees in the house. Looking forward to Texas vs Oklahoma today. I don’t have a dog in the fight. I just like good games. CU vs ASU should be a good one too!
enjoy. have you fired the stove up to season it yet. I painted the top and was glad I had a decent morning to open windows . . .
below 60f most of the coming week. Fired up the boiler and threw some maple and odd and end limbs, chunks etc. since I am already cleaning up stuff this morning. carb on the splitter acting up and the starter solenoid isn't working. It is an LCT engine. Jack's small engine parts seems to have what I need. I have plenty of split wood so I will wait until repair is done k The fun begins!
Im always in need. actually need some SS wood. Have some down cherry in the woods, so that helps. Work has been busy and not much time. Plus someone let their tahoe go out of inspection.
Low to 38 tonight, not a full firebox but biggest load yet this season, silver maple ash pine. Exited to see how my burntimes do after my epa back to smoke dragon conversion
47 heading to 60 later. The house is at 68 so no fire yet, although this upcoming week looks promising.
47*F outside, 68*F inside. We won't light anything until the inside temp drops to 65. We did burn yesterday, warmed things up nicely but when the stonework around the burner gets heated up, it radiates a long time.
39 outside 71 inside. First fire of the year. Mostly a function check making sure everything is good to go. Silver maple in the fireview.
Currently 50 and sunny. Downstairs reads 63* borderline temp for a fire, but I couldn't resist and started one. Buring TOH, tulip poplar and some punky black cherry.
It’s 54 and dropping fast towards the low 40s. Really feeling like fall tonight. My kid wanted a fire so I’m all too happy to oblige. Just a small one with a couple splits of ash, and some slab wood scraps on top.
