The dew point dropped a little last night here. Currently at 65. Ambient is 70 @ 8a but headed to 90 again. Still getting these episodes of wildfire smoke. We're under another alert today.
We had a little bit of smoke but not much. No smell and just very light haze. Hopefully even better today. Had rain early but clear and cool now.
I was going to mow last evening after I got home from a day out with my wife, but instead I sat on our deck in the shade and drank some iced tea. I figured the grass will still be there and when I woke up this morning, it was.
Currently 66f with 94% humidity. We're one degree above dew point so there was fog mixed with the Canadian smoke. 89 for a high today then it drops a few degree's for the next couple days.
The overnights have been in the 40's and 50's here. Last night it got down to 55 and is at 57 now. Went for a short walk yesterday and it almost felt like fall!
It was 64 this morning with the heavy rain starting after 11 last night and more of a even heavier rain this morning, that added up to an inch of rain. The smoke is still hanging in the hills and trees so the treadmill is getting a workout today, two sessions so far (15 & 20 minutes) with a third one planned for this afternoon. Some person put that weight back on, lets just say the snacking late at night showed up, the scales read 200.2. The rest of the week will be three sessions per day on the treadmill, even if I'm working outside.
We got 1/3" the other morning. As far as the smoke, air quality warnings have been out for a few days here....indicated by a red sun
Temp has dropped a little, but the air is still like soup. Fog all day and the smell of forest fire is fairly strong. Air quality supposedly isn't too bad, but man, it sure does stink.
Big storms rolled through last night. Must have been a lightning strike less than 30 yards away, , along with about 20 more that kept me awake. Knocked the dew point down to 62 and they’re saying it’ll be in the high 50’s next couple days. I’ll be looking for downed tree posts on MP and CL. Currently 63. Ahh! edit: strong enough winds to blow two (of several) cinder block off one of my stack covers.
Getting to be that time of year where the dew is real heavy in the mornings. 51 awhile ago; heading for the upper 70's.
Currently 71 w/ 80% humidity, dew point 65. Wed, Thurs and Fri are all predicted to be over 90, peaking at 96 on Thursday.
Highs for the next 10 days are 100+. Lows only down to the mid to upper 70's. Gonna be a hot spell. Currently 79 with 83% humidity. Hot and muggy. Mike in Okla
It could be worse. As I was looking at the weather at 6:00 this morning, Phoenix was at 96 at 4:00 am.
