Not all that cool. Not sure if it's getting older, out of shape or giving double red cells last month but seems like I just have no energy.

39 this morning so far. The overnight temps coming up for this evening will be right at freezing!

Had to convince some waterfowl to vacate the dock at first light due to their loud quacking..........but mostly because of the "calling cards" they leave behind on the dock! :headbang:

Evidently a good portion of Nova Scotia and separately Quebec are suffering under forest fires, and the air quality in our neck of the woods has been real bad the last few days.
Thankfully we have some decent air filters on the central air system so we ran it in through the night.
The basement & garage smelled like a campfire, but the rest of the house was pretty normal. Set the temp to 73 to keep it running.

Dropped to 32 overnight.................but only for 5 minutes.

I'm sure some places throughout the area had temps in the 20's.

Temps dropped into the 20’s last night. It was snowing lightly when I let my dog out before bed (below pic). Currently 59 and sunny. I’m just burning Heartland pellets this morning. I’m about to head out for a mini hoard with my oldest son.

    Happy Friday, friends!

If you're posting fresh snow in June and talking about getting ready to burn again in July-August, I think it's fair to say Alaskan summers are longer than yours :jaw:

It was 48 this morning but since it has been cool with no sun for x amount of days, I had a fire last night with another planned for tonight.

I'm still lighting the boiler every other day for DHW. I figure it still owes me money so I might as well get it out of it. Takes 2 minutes to light it and load it.

No summer yet, this pattern for weeks now, cool and wet (unusual). I'm ready for sunny skies and warm days.

I hope yours does too. Hopefully the rain coming in will help put out some of the wildfires and save some homes up in Quebec or anyone dealing with it. If it doesn't and we get more heavy smoke, it will cool things off and just be a nasty summer.

Rain didn't amount to much last night. Only got .01 inches. We need more.
