Made it to get the bedliner in the truck then on to Amish country where we bought a new 4' lighthouse for out by the pool. Nice meal at the Berlin Farmstead Amish buffet. We saw 92 today but we had a nice breeze. A little cooler coming back in next week.
The storm is moving in but the last I looked at the radar the heavy rains were staying west of us but we'll take the temperature drop. We'll be having some nice cool days (60's) with the nights between 42 and 49 starting tomorrow so if Mother Nature gives us some rain, that's a plus.
Currently 81f plus we got another .15" rain last night. Looks like high-80's to 90 for the weekend. Hope to drag the half or so cord of wood from the pickup uphill to the backyard and stack.
I did manage to move just a little wood yesterday but soon put the tractor back in the barn. Sunny 90 degrees and no breeze made it very hot. Amazing the house stayed relatively cool (kept it closed) until around 5:00 but even then it was not bad.
We had 54 this morning with a nice breeze. Since I only mowed at the beginning of May, I changed my plans from splitting today to mowing. NOAA has us with a low of 43 tomorrow morning.
we had nearly 90 yesterday here in CT, and we're not even gonna break out of the 60's today. nice for doing t hings outside. But with 40's tonight and 50's tomorrow, I might have a fire tonight that will take the chill off, and will hold it off most of tomorrow. We're picking away at shorts, no uglies left.
94 on the deck at 3PM today. I will go out to get the mail but that will be the most I do outside today. Temps in the 70's next week.
90 again today, soaked a tee shirt for a few hrs today. Moved a half a cord down and stacked for the widow I he!p. I had split it about a month ago. Changed the oil in the new truck, then got in the pool for the first time. Water at 81 and that felt real good.
Been warm here. 80s-90. Then the cool air came in. Going down to 44 by early morning. Da bubblin goo will burn.
88f with .03" rain last night. Plenty of humidity but was able to unload the pickup and stack in the backyard.
43 at 0400 when I got up this morning and only up to 46 now with raw/rainy weather. So much nicer than temps hovering around 90 last Wed-Thurs. Had a fire going in the Regency last night and may get one going shortly to take the chill out. Happiness is using your wood stove in June.
Extended shoulder season here. Ran the AC two days in a row, and now the wood stove has been lit for 3 days. Mid-50's outside, showery, raw. Burning mostly red maple.
