Thanks. Never had an ashpan in a stove, pellet is the first one, it's a pita.

We had a low of 34 this morning (pine fire) while the fire was starting we were watching the weather forecast for today, they called for a high of 72 today, we hit 63.

It sure is nice working weather.

Our temp in the morning could be around 32 so I had a pine fire after supper with some ash going in for the overnight fire. Tomorrow should be in the mid 40's with rain so we'll be burning more of the same tomorrow.

80 today, 70's tomorrow, 60 on Wed and 32 overnight but the stove is cleaned, chimney swept and wood all out of the house. Only thing left is to pick up container of damp rid to set in the stove. We'll let the NG boiler run a little if needed.

-12C (10f) where I am today. Burning 3 year old black spruce right now. Have some spruce, tamarac, white birch and the scattered balsam fir in the drying stack.

We had 32 this morning with a forecast low of 27 tonight. It was 69 in the house this morning but after a fire with some ash splits and a small pine fire while I was outside, the temp is 73 up here today.

I finally finished cleaning up the two bushes that were damaged by the 16 inches of snow we got. Stumps will come out later.

I don't have any plans to replant yet. The one big bush that didn't get damaged is going to stay for now. I don't know how much damage to the yard is going to happen when they put in a new septic system later this summer. It would make it easier mowing if all three of those got gone.

We had a chilly 37 this morning! Got up and hosed down my garden before the sun came out. Couple spots in the yard looked frosty.
