Just barely made it over 60 here today. 60 and some decimal points is good!

Lit off the furnace this morning. Sure can tell the weaker draft with the warmer temps.

I've been thinking about using the LP for the morning blast of heat at these temps myself.

I tortured my wife for the last of the cold nights.  When you're done you’re done.
“ I told my mom it’s a damm shame I gotta freeze with all that wood out there.” That’s what sweats and blankets are for.

I think the wife had a second fire today when I was gone, it's still 72 up here with the outside temp at 49, no fire tonight.

39 degrees here. The snow is mostly melted. We still have a little bit of snow in the shade. A neighbor a few miles away gave us a free trampoline. I can’t get my oldest son off of it.

    Burning heartland pellets right now.

Dropped to 42 overnight. Heading for the 60's with a 50-50 chance of rain throughout the day. I've already had 100% of that 50-50 though.

45 this morning. Bubblin goo burning. The wood burning season is over here.

I just bought 8 face cord of mostly Cherry and Beech from a young guy who had cut it longer for boilers. (20-24”) This will be my coldest part of the winter BTUs for next season. It will be a couple weeks before I’ll have time to get it stacked outside. The rest of next seasons wood supply will be Ash and blown over Pine and Spruce from our property.

Morning fires look to be the norm for a bit. Was 67 in when I got up.

62 outside this morning had the window open overnight. Time to clean the stove out and clear the patio for outdoor furniture. Neighbors uncovered their pool yesterday and ours will not be far behind. If we need any overnight heat it will be NG. Still have splitting to do though.

48/69. Going to hit the 70's this week!

I'll have to get on the roof and clean the chimneys and also clean the stove and furnace and connecting pipes. Been looking forward to this day!
