30º this morning. I let the boiler go out while I was away. I'll fire it back up this morning with some more Pine slab.

I'm not sure what the temp was when I made coffee but it's 34 at the moment, we have a nice Hemlock fire going.

Been teetering on a fire or not......45º outside and 73º in. I've got some kindling, small splits and a chunk of super cedar right by the stove.....about the same as last night and I didn't mess with it, boiler kicked on a few times this morning. Supposed to hit 34º by morning. OK, heading down to light it up.

Besides for the fire going now for the night, it looks like 2-3 more this week around bedtime might do it for the season ( I've said this before )

still burning SS stuff with a hint of oak. ;)

He's hoping you make that pile just a little bit taller so he can see over the fence!

No fire since Monday night......we may be done until Fall or at least I don't see anything in the forecast for a fire in the next week. I could have had a small one last night as the boiler kicked on a couple times this morning but probably didn't use anymore gas than a long shower with the hot water heater. I'll leave some wood on the patio for about another week and then look at the forecast......gonna be time soon to clear the wood rack off the patio and move the table and chairs up for drinking coffee in the mornings while the sun comes up.

Good man Loon! Got down to the mid 20's here overnight. 99 told me last night it was going to get cold and I offered to build a fire inside the basement right away, but.......
Might stay at the cottage tonight and she will have a different answer to the "build a fire" offer!

Looking at the 10 day I "think" the chill chaser I had light night will be the last of the season. It worked out good this year, I only have two splits left in the garage. :)

    Beautiful fires Loon.

41 this morning? I was HOT all day.

Not looking forward to summer temps.

Last night had a tiny fire, burning stove load of twigs. It roared and got hot quickly, a huge noise signifying nothing....anyway, took the chill off the air, and it was still in the 70's in here this morning. No fire tonight. Brought some odds and ends from stuff I split in today, and now I have mosquitoes flying around in the house....
