It's 38 here, no snow. I have been keeping the woodstove going along all day with small fires. I burned a wood today that I've not used before. At our old house a few years back we had a 60 year old Lilac Bush, some of the branches were 4 or 5 inches in diameter and snapped under the weight of the snow. I cut up the branches and threw the wood into the stacks, today I used them.

Well..........the forecast of -1 came and went quickly.

-15 now. I just may light off a fire in the NC-30 and enjoy that for this morning! I took a walk up the driveway last night to water the dogs and the sky was crystal clear.......yep, it's gonna get below zero........but it sure looked nice.

Mostly slush in my area, although the snow is starting to stick after falling for 14 hours straight. Wind is picking up. In the hills above me and to the northwest it looks like a winter wonderland. It was a bust around here anyway.
