25/72. Still icing up here but it's supposed to end this evening. We never lost power and only have had a few limbs fall thus far. Fuel continues to be sugar maple, red oak and beech.

After 4 days in the 60-70 range we are back to a high of 37 today. It keeps my sinuses guessing.

The north doesn't shut down for snow, it comes to life. Snowfall in NH equals Billions of dollars, room tax, meals tax, resteraunts, hotel/motels at the ski towns and snowmobile trail business. And it's just a great time be outdoors at one of the ice fishing derbys.

Same in Colorado. Snow is money falling from the sky here. We have had record setting snow this winter. I mentioned the other day, but Purgatory and Telluride got 35” in less than 24 hours last week. I picked up a friend and Denver International a few nights ago. It was a constant stream of skis and snowboards flowing out of the the airport to the shuttles and parking lots. Big money.

Spent the day plowing today. Currently snowing and 5 degrees. Burning Ponderosa Pine and Aspen. 74 inside.

I got a nice sunny break from the snow this afternoon though. Felt really nice.

It was 37 here in NorCal today. You know what that means! -37 in a few days once this storm crosses the Rockies.

I haven’t checked in here for awhile, lately it’s been Ponderosa in the morning & early evening then Hickory or Honey Locust at night.

Tonight & tomorrow night it’s heading to single digits again so it’s Osage & Black Locust. I guess I will see if they are good bedfellows.

as with The Wood Wolverine south central Indiana was wonderful today. spend some time in the woods lowering tree stands and tinkering with the NART.
Stepped outside after dark and temperature was down to 30 and windy. stuffed the boiler with some maple and almost to turn punky poplar.

Tomorrow will be sunny but cooler than today.
