32 and overcast outside.65 inside.1split of pine and one of apple on the bottom and an ash split on top to get the morning started
26* here as of now, and it feels colder than that. I have some old Oak that was punky in the outer layers with good heartwood. After two years of drying that outer layer of dry punkwood catches fire quick.
The upper 40s earlier today has since dropped to the high 30s. It’s supposed to go down to 31 by dawn. I’m burning a mix of mostly elm, with one split of black locust and one Bradford pear.
As in our furry family members. Okay, maybe they didn't really start the fire, but they were standing in front of the stove acting all cold and stuff.
36/72. Loaded with white oak this morning. Finished stacking what I brought to the garage the other day.
19 and I just loaded Pine in the Wood Gun. Suppose to go to 42 today. Unreal temperatures for February…. Just about all the snow will be gone by Friday.
25/65. Kinda hard to fire up when the house is at 71 and knowing it'll get to 73/74 after you crawl in bed. With the house dropping into the 60's, it makes for better sleeping IMO. Sunshine and heading into the low 40's today. What a nice spring thaw!
Had 45/74 this morning. No refill as the temps is headed to mid 50’s. Guess that Wednesday temp will wake some bugs. Not looking forward to that.
37* here and I banked the stove a couple of hrs. ago. I probably will reload and relight in a little while.
35 now. Loaded up the Wood Gun with Ash and Elm for the overnight. Should be good for 12 hours at these temperatures. Going down to a low of just 29. Then climbing back up to 42 and full sun tomorrow.
53 here. High of 60 today. Beautiful day to get things done outside. No fire now. Not one tonight either. Forecast low tonight. 50. Mike in Okla
Built it up around 5 it will be good til a morning.. either build it up at 6 am or air it up (burn coals) til 3 and reload then no match needed either way
