34/72 running on cherry and elm this evening. Have some colder temps moving in this week so I made sure the patio shed was topped off.

28 and falling here. Wind is blowing hard out of the north and snow falling.

Got an unexpected sheet of ice covered with a dusting of snow last night. Roads are a mess. Wrecks everywhere.

The boiler is working on some oak and hickory. Nice and warm everywhere in the house.

Red oak & hickory. Forecast is cold here for next few days so yesterday I fired up the basement Fire Chief in addition to the upstairs Buck Stove 91 insert.

we got a little ice and snow starting last evening. Enough to shut the schools down and get my doctor appt cancelled. Going to sit back and enjoy the warm house and watch the birds use the two new feeders I put out yesterday. I think they’ll appreciate that with the colder temps here.

Another warm day here hitting the low 50s earlier. It’s since dropped to 49 and still falling. Just a small elm/maple fire going at the moment. I have hickory and black locust staged up outside for later this week when winter decides to make another temporary appearance.
