The Sun is supposed to be out for most of the day. That hasn't happened in a while.

    10. Chamber was empty except a few coals. Stirred them up and they went red. Loaded in small Ash rounds, about 30% of chamber. Before I head to the workhouse I’ll load it up with more Ash and Maple.

28 and windy, sun is out for the first time in a long time. If it wasn't windy it would be a pretty nice day. Mud situation is about 14/10....frozen for now but it will be a mess this afternoon.

Boiler got a nice load of oak and hickory this morning. Should be good until tomorrow AM.

And so it begins. Sitting around -15 C/4? F right now, and this is the warmest it will be for the next 7 days. Pine chunkies.

Send it this way, please! I can only dream of being able do anything in the yard right now. A deep freeze sure would help.

45 right now. Got up to 59 today. House is still at 68 so no fire tonight. So far I'm setting a record for the least used firewood in a season.
