I had 26/70 when I filled up this morning with maple and oak.

 

It turned overcast quickly for the duration of the day.....

 

26/68 Another overcast day. But, no snow is falling!

Haven't posted much in this one, because our weather is exactly the same. Every day. Okay maybe not exactly the same, but the swing between high and low is ballpark 5 degrees + or -. It's almost unreal. Loving it. -10 C right now, probably -14 C tonight, and some variation of this for the next 10 days, but warming slightly. Pine same as always.

6 discs went in the firebox. Laid them on this:



20 minutes later it was cruising nicely.

 

I find that so satisfying for some reason. You make and burn your own fuel. That’s rad.
Waste not - Want not.

 

And we think our firewood gets handled too many times! Imagine how much these trees have went through to finally make in in my wood burner.

 

Burn cycle complete at 5 hours. Filled up with one split of walnut, one mulberry and the rest chestnut oak.

14/72 burning down coals with pine. Then more uglies

 

13 F at 3:36. Burning Spruce and Ash. Received my second shingles shot yesterday morning. The first one wasn’t bad. This one has sent me for a shivering loop! Now I’m too hot. Running on maybe an hour of sleep so far. And can’t get to sleep. Time to try again.

 

7/65. Lots of coals left. Added a couple of splits to burn them down.

 

Hope you feel better and get over that cold and then hot stuff.

......hey, wait a minute. Are you middle aged and going through the "change"? Probably nothing another tractor can't fix!!

Got up at 4:30 and loaded some white oak and cherry on a nice bed of coals.

 

Very mild overnight.

29 for a low!

29/69. Drizzle turning into snow the next couple of days.

 

37/73. Getting a little warm inside. Might have to open done windows. Red oak in the Lopi. High for the day is set for 65 for the third day in a row. Then we go back to normal temps.
