Down to 29 overnight. Red oak doing its thing. Supposed to hit 61 this afternoon so probably last fire of the day. Mike in Okla
35 and still burning elm, which will be the case for a while to come. I’m burning a mix of standing dead that I processed in March of 2021 and some super-stringy-live-cut from April of that same year. Without a doubt the dead one with no bark is superior to the live cut.
Upper 30’s outside. 75 inside. Burning what I think is cottonwood, red oak and some of my much loved wood bricks. The beers are cold and crisp. The dogs are snoozing on the couch. The Lab snoring, the Pitbull on his Jammie’s and little girl is watching a movie with me in the living room. Any other numbers? Hmmm… oh yeah! My son Keating James Grant was born this morning at 8:54 am. 9 pounds 9 ounces.
Congratulations RGrant! Hope all are doing well! Sounds like you're back home with your daughter...hope you can get some sleep the next night or two!
Congrats, bro!! What a beautiful new family member!! I have two little boys of my own. They are the biggest blessing in my life. Your post made my eyes a little misty
33 here this morning. Fire going with some maple mixed with nuggets and shorts. Good morning to burn some of the scraps, nothing going to waste.
