As far as I can tell the outdoor temps have held at -26c/-15f all night with light snow fall. Doug fir and larch loaded on last nights coals. Have a great day!

31 heading to the low 20s. I just brought in half a face cord of spruce from the backyard, and that’s what I’m burning now. Watching the flames it’s throwing, I think I’m going to continue burning a little bit every day whenever I’m home. I have over 3 cords of conifer on hand so I might as well.

I'm burning Ash from this score.

    Scrounge gone wrong???

Gives off a beautiful, even heat with nice long lasting coals.

Just reloaded about an hours ago after 13 hours on a 3/4 full box at 3:30 this morning... Only got down to 65F with high of 26F and its down to 20F already... not too bad... I reloaded with a 1/2 load to get a fast hot fire... so I can reload before bed tonight...

Warm here today with a light wind. Made 36F, 32 now. Thankfully the ground didn't thaw too much, looks like a dry day tomorrow before the "big" storm comes in. Oak in the boiler.

Just checked the forecast for this area and we are under a winter storm warning with 6-8 inches of snow with winds up to 50 MPH. It goes from Wednesday evening to Saturday. Should be fun. It would be nice to only get some flurries.

Latest forecast here is for 2' through Sunday morning. This includes the Lake Effect wrap around. Kinda hoping we get it, may keep the kids and grandkids here a bit longer than planned for Christmas. Been a long time since we've had a good snowstorm with everyone home.

Lucky we are predicted to get 2 inches of rain. Thursday’s low is forecasted to be 15f with a high of 56f! The snow we have will probly melt.

I am burning anything I can get my hands on. It is colder than all get out. Way below normal for this time of year. Then there is the wind.

Stay warm my friends. it is coming.

9° out. 72° in the stove room after just reloading a couple nice big chunks of honey locust on ash coals.

Yeah, a storm is headed out way. They say 6-10" and blizzard conditions with 50 mph winds.

26 F. Just added a couple standing dead White Pine rounds to the Wood Gun. I’ll add in some hardwood before leaving for the workhouse.

I have 19/71. I threw one of my pulp discs in this morning first thing. Will load more oak before leaving for the day. We’re in the 2-3” of rain area for tomorrow/Friday then the deep freeze. Stocked up on ice melt.

Down to 1° right now. Ash and honey locust in in quadrafire.

70 in the stove room. 66 in the back hall. This is where having a basement wood burner hooked up to the HVAC would help.
