19f at 7am supposed to get to 32 today, river birch and elm going now. Gonna make a good effort to get a good supply hauled into the basement today. Most likely elm, hackberry, and river birch
84/-16 All stoves cranking. Going go warm up after Sunday. Lows down in the singles at night, but highs in the 20's and 30's.
31 but it won’t get much colder overnight. After burning mostly white birch all day, I decided to mix in some 10 year dried mulberry, with a fat split of red oak on top. That should give me several hours of heat.
1st fire of the year finally! Low tonight is only in the 30’s but wind chill 20’s, tomorrow night though is supposed be actual 20’s. Time to burn the dust off!
Cold again tonight. I sut and split some beech and loaded it into my UTV bed as a went along. Will throw that in to minimize how many times i move a particular piece of wood Told the Mrs. to get beef stew going amd let me know when it will be ready, so it will be waiting me after i loaded the boiler for the night
Wind has been blowing pretty good all day with a high of 27 °F winds 15 to 20 with gusts up to 38 Setting at 19 °F now , tonight they say Low: 14 °F , this is not November weather here geez Time to load up the Republic for the night
We warmed up a little overnight. It was 9 at 10, now it is 13f, but still a little breezy from the south now. The Regency is throwing some heat warming us from 65f at wake up time to 70f now thanks to some of our sugar maple.
Warmer than the last couple days @ 41°, but we let the fire die out yesterday. Woke up @ 4AM, house was 66°. Got a fire going, then put a split of old beech and dead standing cherry on the coals, finally got a picture of some really blue secondaries.
