Currently 60, headed to 72. Wed-Thurs is predicted to have highs in the mid 60's. This is the time to start adding blankets. Still no fire. My favorite time of year has arrived.
High today 65 light a fire… NO windows still open! Love the 60 days and 40s at night!! exception If Backwoods Savage stops by the stove will be lit!! Cause he’s Dennis
It’s finally cooling down here. Highs in the mid 80’s. Lows around 60. . Eventually I’ll be able to join the conversation about actually lighting a fire. Looking forward to it. Mike in Ok
Well, for here it’s fall. We’ve had about 2 months of triple digits with no/very little rain. I’ll take any temperature drop I can get. In about 3 months when it’s 15 below I’ll be wishing I had some of this weather back. Mike in Ok
Weve been regularly getting below freezing here lately with patchy to wide spread frost but most days its still to hot out to get a fire going. The last few days its been getting up to 24c/74f and lows of -3c/26f. These warm temps are unusual for here but Im sure it will all change soon. Until then Im loving the sunshine.
We are not there yet, but headed in the right direction. Lows in the low 50s and highs around 75! Got me wanting to get into the wood lot and take inventory for this winter. I have a 3 totes ready. 1 maple, 1 cherry (my fav) and 1 mixed oak and hackberry. Need to get some wood up out of the bottom to start on next years supply. (Yes, I am only 1.5 years ahead of the game)
The 43 we have now feels like 20! Not the wind chill, just feels dang cold like its 20-ish. Didn't wear gloves on the walk and regretted it.
Still hitting 80 and low of 50 here in northern Colorado, it was almost chilly last night! That being said, the wood sales are starting to flow, 4 cords sold in the last 24 hours! Yee ha! Going to be a busy Oct and Nov!
Mid to upper 50’s for a high with on and off rain all day. Low is forecasted to be in the mid 40’s tonight. First fire of the year in the BK Princess with some borderline punky ash and oak to take the chill out of the house. Low of 38 for Thursday night. Looks like we will burn then as well.
47 to 57 here today, cloudy with showers all afternoon. Boiler is slowly burning chunks, rejects and "stuff". Looking forward to some drier cool weather to bust into the log piles again.
We're having a shoulder season wood fire tonight, it has been a damp week. yooperdave is sending us some cooler weather tomorrow night, we have a freeze watch on.
Not cold yet here but if the clouds move off we expect the temp to drop a lot. 29's not far from us. 40's here now.
50F this morning will probably drop a few more before sun breaks... But its starting to feel like fall...
