My response is deleted. No sense rushing to the kitchen and baking a cake if it isn't your birthday.....
I think I finally figured out why your dog his his head cocked in your avatar. He is waiting for the answer he asked you......"Why are we living here in this heat?" C'mon man!
You might have a point there! I do know he loves to run down to the lake and go swimming. Sometimes I think he’s asking “Are you stupid or what?” Mike in Ok
46 now, heading to 54 for the high. Then, tonight is the right at freezing temperature night. Pup is enjoying the outside temps now!
It won't make so much difference that you will notice it. Although I do keep small soapstone blocks on the stove to use for drying boots and gloves. That works great.
I believe its suppose to break later today and some cool temps will be upon us by evening. Fingers crossed.
Back in the day of the leaky victorian we rented, we warmed soapstone pieces, wrapped them in towels, and stuck them at the feet of our beds. They were nice and toasty till 4 or 5 AM. I like the idea of smaller pieces for boots tho.... Incidentally, it never got cool into the 50's overnight. Worked outdoors all night, felt like upper 60's. The only thing they got right on weatherbug, is that it is raining.
Vampire weather here today. It’s 42 and drizzly. Supposed to be like this all day. Burning bark in the Oslo. Heartlands cooking in the Harman. I love fall.
Not quite fire weather here yet but it’s getting there. Lovely time of the year - great for long walks up in the hills.
Beautiful! My wife has family in Northampton. They frequently send us similar looking hiking photos. Is Northampton anywhere near you?
Yes, I use the blocks for warmers and still have an old one and it even has a handle! These are the ones I use and like to put one in each glove to take with me on cold and/or wet days. Here we were softening up some maple syrup. 4
You are still warmer than us. 62 was our high. It did not stay there even 1/2 hour before dropping again. Felt great too. Possible frost this morning but only 43 now so I doubt we'll get frost here.
Thank you. Northampton is about 100 miles southeast from here. I worked there for a couple of years when I lived closer. Northampton itself is quite urban but there’s some very nice surrounding countryside. Nothing or nowhere is really too far away in England though .
