Rain, rain and more rain. Low 50s.
Have a fire with SS, mix of whatever is left in woodshed. Old house felt damp. Plus the pups like to dry off in front of it
Fire most likely tomorrow as well.

Low 50's, just lit up w/ oak to raise the 68 inside temp tonight. Rained all day, and supposed to tomorrow as well.

49 overcast/drizzling for most of the day. Stove is rolling again with silver maple shorties and one barkless elm skinny.

Actually, fired up the stove today with some scraps to take the chill out of the house. Rain, high winds, upper 40's............Just that damp cold feeling

Mid 40's here, 55 all day.
Small oak fire with a good handful of pine kindling.
Right now would be a good time for black locust and its bed of coals.
I have SS wood put up last fall, for this fall, and am putting up some now for next spring.

Still mid 50's here. About 15-20 degrees below normal highs. Over 4 inches of rain last 2 days. Still burning oak.

Currently 58f out and damp. Thinking we are done for the year on fires, but keeping a wheelbarrow load in the garage for backup.

It's spring here. The mud is worse than 40 below.
Sandhill Cranes , Trumpeter Swans and geese are in the barley field in front of the house. We finally had a couple nights where it did not freeze overnight. But it froze last night. Warmed up to around 40° F currently
Night before last it rained a good bit over night. That really knocked to snow down.
May 5th it was still knee deep in the woods . Now it's around 1' deep. Morning and overnight small fires of fks and SS stuff that appears as the the snow recedes IMG_20220508_092006196.jpg

The DRIFT is still 7'tall up at the face of the property.
I think this coming fall I'm going to try some kind of snow break up at the face. Try to keep the bulk of The Drift closer to the trees.
Give the moose more to feed on and make the thaw out go faster on the driveway. This week I'm going to go up and spread wood ashes on the snow above the drive. It worked good in places where I spread them in the dooryard.

Yes. I plan to make it. :yes:Plan to be @ Duane's gtg this weekend too.
My yard has several areas that are standing water. It'll take a long time for me to be able to ride mow it. Probably have to use the push several times first.

Can you hook the mower behind a boat?

I won't make it to Duane's but hope to see you at Scotties.

53/68 with all day rain. On the propane. Stove is hibernating. Starting tomorrow we are predicted to be in the 80's and believe it or not 90's all week:rofl:  From cold/chilly to baking overnight. Like a light switch again this spring. Bring on the Morels!
