37 with a full load of silver maple going in the Lopi. I’m playing hooky today and tomorrow, so that I can work on my woodshed. :)

35/68. Been enjoying whipping winds and heavy rain with mucho thunder and lightning most of the night. Elm and Oak are idling along nicely keeping the place toasty. Watch out S. WI. and N.IL. Its heading your direction.

You guys may not have this kindof snow pack this morning. But I would Not want the kind of weather y'all are having.
I tossed a couple sticks on last night's coals for a chill buster when I got up. But that's it.
It was down to around 20°F last night but warmed up fast. Now it's jeans and T-shirt temps in the sun.

I’m not too keen on doing a full-on build thread, but we’ll see. As of today the concrete piers are poured. Each one has a 1/2-13 grade 8 zinc plated hex bolt sunk into it, to ensure that the posts won’t move anywhere. I’ll drill a 1/2” hole in the bottom of the posts obviously. Hopefully later tomorrow morning I’ll start putting up the vertical posts with temporary bracing.

Having a snow/rain mix for the last 2 days here, might have to go out to the back shed and bring in a load from the back shed.
